SportAviation offers Air experience flights - a great way to try gliding and discover the world above.

We can offer you professional training tailored to meet your individual requirements and if you are new to gliding, it is possible to learn to glide and go solo in just five days.

• Turbo engine - $3.00 per minute
• Minimum hourly charge for glider hire is 1 hour
• SOP - Solo Soaring Package - 5 Days - One Pilot.
• SHP - Shared Soaring Package - 5 Days - 2 Pilots
• Low season is April-September

In case of non-flying days - a maximum of two non-flying days of any package will be redeemed at a later time or added to package time frame - dependent on aircraft availability.

 

Facilitation fee

In the case of a private glider being cross hired to another pilot within the SportAviation operation by the owner, a daily fee of $55.00 incl. GST is applicable.

 

Bookings

• A deposit is required to secure your booking.
• All bank transfer charges are payable by the customer.
• A levy of 3% is applicable to all credit card payments over $1000.00

 

*Excess payable (GST incl.) by customer in the event of any damage.

• Aerodrome Movement Fees - $6.50 - Applies to all gliders including self-launching gliders (glider training flights exempt).

 

Tracking and logging

Spot tracker is a satellite based tracking system. It has Australia wide coverage and will communicate with SportAviation even when outside mobile phone coverage. Highly recommended for safety. Pin point accuracy saves valuable time if a retrieve is required. Spot tracker is also available for outright purchase from SportAviation or hire (if available).

SportAviation welcomes pilots and their own gliders visiting from other clubs/organisations. For visiting pilots with their own gliders the following affiliation fee applies:
