Our training includes membership to Recreational Aviation Australia Inc. Membership also includes a 12 months subscription to the popular RAA Magazine. Good reading for any recreation aviation enthusiast.

The RAA Pilot Certificate allows you to fly an Ultra light or a Light Sport Aircraft anywhere within Australia in uncontrolled air space. This amounts to over 90% of Australia's vast and beautiful land mass.

We also provide training for the following RAA flight certificate endorsements:

• Passenger endorsement
• Cross country endorsement
• Full RAA License

It is also important to note, that every hour spent in a LSA counts towards your total flying hours if you wish to go for your private pilot's license.

Aircraft Hire Costs (using Jabiru)

 

• $140.00 per hour for all training dual or solo and on solo navigation training. Cost includes all pre and post flight briefings.

• $100.00 per hour for solo flying (non training) i.e.:already have a pilot certificate.

• $60.00 Trial Instructional Flights approximately 30 minutes flying time.

• $160.00 per hour for all training dual or solo and on solo navigation training. Cost includes all pre and post flight briefings.

• $120.00 per hour for solo flying (non training) i.e.: have pilot certificate.

RAA Membership

• You must be a member of Recreational Aviation Australia (RAA). We can sign you up as a temporary member for 1 month or 2 hours flying membership free (No cost).

• Full membership to RAA is $160.00 pear year, which includes a monthly magazine, student pilot licence and operations manual.

Aviation Medical

• Not required.

Age

• Minimum age to begin instruction is 15 years. There is no maximum age limit.

• students under the age of 18 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian.

Minimum Hours Required for Pilot Certificate

• MINIMUM of 20 hours training for a Pilot Certificate.

• Further 5 hours minimum training for cross-country endorsement. (Fly anywhere in Australia outside controlled airspace)

• 5 hours minimum training for General Aviation Pilots to Pilot Certificate and Glider Pilots with a minimum of 20 hours gliding, including 10 hours in command gliding (Solo).

• 100% Group A Pilot Certificate hours count towards a General Aviation License.
